Get together with your group for the final project. Helpers will be walking around to answer questions. You will need to demo your intermediate code during Workshop 1 or Workshop 2 to one of the helpers. This means the program should run and produce some output, but it doesn’t need to be fully complete just yet.
Each workshop also has a corresponding short activity in Moodle that must be submitted.
Work on your final project with your team. You may demo your project to one of the class helpers (TA, ZI, or Professor).
Before the day ends, write in text in Moodle (under Final Project –> Workshop 1) an answer to the following prompt. Suppose you have $100 for each person in your team. So, if there are 3 people in your team (including yourself), then you have $300. If you have 2 people in your team, then you have $200. This is the total amount of money you can distribute for your project. In Moodle, write a list which consists of the names of all project team members, including yourself. Think about the amount of work that each person in the team has contributed. Based on this, distribute the total amount of money among all team members. You must distribute all money, and you cannot distribute more than what the entire team has. For example, here is an example list turned in by Amy Santiago for a 3-person team (hence, there is $300 to distribute). In this case, Amy believed she and Jake did more work to compensate for the third teammate’s lack of work.
Amy Santiago (me): $130
Jake Peralta: $130
Norm Scully: $40
If you have not already, you must demo your project to one of the class helpers (TA, ZI, or Professor). Your intermediate code should run and produce something, but it doesn’t need to be fully finished yet. The intermediate code which you demo must also be submitted to Moodle (under Final Project -> Intermediate Code). Include all files.
Your demo will take no more than 5 minutes. In the remaining time, discuss the following with your team. Be calm, clear, kind, and respectful in your discussions. Pay attention to what your teammates are saying and also how they’re saying it. Ask follow up questions if needed.
Once you have these details sorted out, continue working on your final project.
Before the day ends, write in text in Moodle (under Final Project -> Workshop 2). Repeat the money list prompt from Workshop 1, supposing that you once again had $100 for each person in your team for a total of $200 or $300 (depending on whether your team is 2-person or 3-person). Write a list that contains the names of all project team members, including yourself. Based on the amount of work that you believe each person in the team has contributed, distribute the total amount of money among all team members.
Continue a professional discussion with your team. The presentations are approaching. This is a good time to make any finishing touches on your final project and start your presentation slides.
Before the day ends, write in text in Moodle (under Final Project -> Workshop 3).
