CS IS Orals

In about week 6 of the Fall semester, the CS department has all senior students present a four minute presentation to briefly introduce their IS topic. This semester, there are two days of presentations - Tuesday 9/28 and Thursday 9/30 @ 11am-12:15pm, hosted virtually on Teams. You will have received an email from Prof. Visa with a Teams link for access.

Seniors are required to attend both days. Juniors need attend at least one day, but both days are encouraged. The presentations are virtual. However, weather permitting, we will have an outside in-person pizza party for lunch afterwards.

This is an excellent opportunity to see what your peers are working on. Seniors get to showcase their research so far and plans for the rest of the academic year, while juniors can get a preview of what is expected of them for next year. If your schedule permits, we will be having pizza outdoors in front of Taylor afterwards. We’ll do a head count before the presentations start to order the right amount of pizza.

For this assignment, you are to attend the Teams meeting (both if a senior, at least one if a junior) and reflect on the presentations you see. Complete the following form.
